CaptionThe Mesopotamian Cylinder Seals experimental process. The simulations concerned a particular Mesopotamian glyptic production dating to the Akkadian, the Post-Akkadian, and Ur III periods. After a careful formalization of the data into mathematical language, some numerical matrixes have been formed and processed using different AAS. The outline of the iconographic profile of the dataset entries led to group the Ur III presentation scenes (at the end of Third Mill. BC) into iconographic classes for which a narrative, besides a logical ground, as well as a position in the history of the logical development of the relevant theme can be postulated (Di Ludovico, Ramazzotti 2008).
